 "Being Together" is the name of our youth group. The group meets once a month and all elementary youth are welcomed. Check here or refer to the calendar for the next meeting.
In addition to various learning experiences and group prayer, in the past, the youth group has decorated cakes, engaged in art, prepared food for pot luck, held car washes, and a soccer school.
Beyond the Church community, the youth group engages in service at My Refuge. The group sponsors activities for the children of My Refuge, a home for children experiencing abuse and neglect. In the past, the youth group has provided backpacks with supplies to start school, held a skating party, egg hunt, and pool party.

On Shrove Tuesday the youth had a pancake dinner followed by the game Cash Cab. Pastor Wenninger was our cab driver who "drove" the kids through the sanctuary asking Bible trivia questions along the way. The kids had to get six questions right in order to "win" the game. Do you know what animal is mentioned most in the Old Testament, the longest book in the Bible or the domesticated animal not mentioned anywhere in the Bible? Thank goodness for cell phones so we could do mobile shout outs for help with questions!
The next Being Together Youth meeting will be Saturday, March 20th at 5:30. This meeting is for all ages. Bring $3.00 for pizza. If you can provide drinks or salad, please contact Cynthia. |

Being Together - February 2010 |

Being Together Youth's meeting for February will be held on Tuesday, February 16th, from 6 p.m. till 7:30 p.m. A pancake dinner will be served at 6:00 followed by a trivia game hosted by Pastor Roger. Bring toppings for pancakes (fruit, nuts, chocolate chips) and your cell phone in case you need to “phone a friend” for help with a trivia question. This meeting is for both age groups.

Being Together youth had a busy Christmas! We had a Chinese gift exchange with themed "Friday night fun" gifts. I learned that the kids are all too polite to "take" another person’s gift and that they do some interesting things on Friday nights!
